The Sing & Play Children Songs contains over 60 children songs in English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French and other languages. Children using this book learn music in the most natural way, by singing and playing.
The book uses the Solfege note names (Do-Re-Mi), a system that allows children to memorize the songs and develop their musical ear.
Children learn to play the melody with their right hand and the accompaniment with their left hand using the basic notes (the tonic, dominant and subdominant) and understand how music works from the very beginning, giving them a strong foundation for future learning and allowing them to memorize fast and to perform with confidence.
Each song comes with a colorful illustration to spark children’s imagination and easy step-by-step activities to learn the different elements of music: beat, rhythm, downbeat, melody, solfege, music notation and reading.
Video tutorials are available on the YouTube channel of the Brain-Based Piano Method.
The songs in this book can be played with resonator bells.
A paper version with coloring activities and 60 stickers (one for each song) is available at our website www.brainbasedpianomethod.com.
