Description: 

The Songs Puzzle Game is an interactive, hands-on teaching tool designed to help children learn how to read music in a fun, engaging way. 

This set includes 15 popular children’s songs (including Ode to Joy by Beethoven), with each song divided into  laminated measure cards showing the melody in standard notation. Teachers can present the song as written,  placing the cards in order and pointing to each note while children sing the melodies using Do-Re-Mi. Before  singing, students read the rhythms, reinforcing their understanding of rhythmic patterns and timing. 

Teachers can also shuffle the measure cards and invite students to solve the puzzle by putting the song back in the correct order—building skills in reading notes, understanding form, and critical listening. When the cards are  arranged incorrectly, students can sing or clap the “crazy” new version and discuss why it doesn’t work, promoting  musical reasoning and analysis.
